Hi there! I'm so excited you've chosen Moon Soul for your home fragrance needs. As a small business owner who hand-pours each candle and carefully crafts every product, I want to make sure you get the absolute best experience from your Moon Soul goodies. Here's everything you need to know to keep your products performing beautifully and safely.

🕯️ CANDLE CARE (Wood & Cotton Wicks)

First Burn is Everything!

• Wood Wicks: Burn for 2-3 hours on first use to create an even melt pool across the entire surface
• Cotton Wicks: Burn for 1-2 hours initially, allowing wax to melt to the edges
• This prevents tunneling and ensures you get the full life from your candle

Every Time You Light Your Candle:

• Trim wicks to ¼ inch before each use (yes, even wood wicks!)
• Wood wicks: Use nail clippers or wick trimmers to remove charred wood
• Cotton wicks: Trim with wick trimmers or scissors
• Remove any wick debris from the wax pool
• Burn for no more than 4 hours at a time

Safety First (Because I Care About You!):

• Never leave burning candles unattended
• Keep away from drafts, children, and pets
• Place on heat-resistant surfaces
• Stop using when ½ inch of wax remains
• If the flame becomes too large or flickers excessively, extinguish and trim wick

Troubleshooting:

• Wood wick won't stay lit? Trim it shorter and make sure you're lighting the entire length
• Soot on the jar? Your wick is too long - trim and clean the jar with a damp cloth
• Uneven burning? Burn longer next time to create a full melt pool

🧊 WAX MELT CARE

Using Your Melts:

• Use only 1-2 cubes in your warmer (they're potent & you don't want to overflow your melter!)
• Electric warmers work best with our coconut apricot wax blend
• Each cube provides 8-12 hours of fragrance

When to Change:

• When you no longer smell fragrance (usually after 12-15 hours)
• Turn off warmer, let wax cool slightly, then remove while still soft
• Clean warmer with cotton ball or paper towel

Storage:

• Keep in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight
• Our wax melts can last up to 2 years when stored properly

🌸 REED DIFFUSER CARE

Setup:

• Place all reeds into the oil
• Allow 24-48 hours for full fragrance release
• Flip reeds weekly for stronger scent throw

Maintenance:

• Replace reeds every 2-3 months for optimal performance
• Keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources
• If oil level gets low, you can add a small amount of neutral carrier oil

Safety:

• Keep away from children and pets
• Place on protected surfaces (oil can damage furniture finishes)
• Wash hands after handling reeds

🚗 CAR DIFFUSER CARE

Installation:

• Clip securely to air vent
• Start with low fan speed to control fragrance intensity
• Position where it won't obstruct your view

Maintenance:

• Refill with our car diffuser oils when scent fades (usually 2-4 weeks)
• Clean diffuser monthly with warm soapy water
• Replace felt pad every 2-3 months

🏠 CARPET FRESHENER CARE

Application:

• Vacuum carpet first for best results
• Sprinkle evenly (a little goes a long way!)
• Let sit for 15-20 minutes before vacuuming
• Test in inconspicuous area first

Storage:

• Keep container tightly sealed
• Store in cool, dry place
• Shake before each use

💨 ROOM SPRAY CARE

Usage:

• Shake well before each use
• Hold 6-8 inches from fabrics/surfaces
• Perfect for linens, curtains, and upholstery
• Avoid spraying on delicate fabrics or electronics

Storage:

• Keep out of direct sunlight
• Store at room temperature
• Shake if separation occurs (totally normal!)
